Passion or Obsession?

It can be a fine grey line. Right now, among many others, I am reading Blogging for Dummies. When I came across this I had to share it with you all. “If you're not careful, customization of your blog can become an obsession." Hmmm.... has he visited my blog! Well if has he would not be impressed but if he visited regularly he would see that it is always changing; only problem is I hate the changes and never can find just what I want.

I make a change on Monday and by Wednesday it is back to how it was. I have tried templates but because I host on my own site via blogger I have to use classic blogger templates, this really limits me. Then my bigger problem... I have adobe Photoshop and dream weaver however I can not figure how to get what I make in them to work with blogger. It's a nightmare!!!

I have a header I like however for the life of me I can not get it to work. I have the image hosted and uploaded but nothing! I have spent hours playing with it and trying different tips I find on the web but nothing works.

Ugh... I am about ready to pay someone to do it for me. I fear my passion is beyond healthy and closer to an obsession!

Hey Miss Margaret,

This is Andrew. Just wanted to let you know that, if you would like, I would be happy to try and install your banner for you. I have done some work with blogger, so I am fairly familiar with its workings. You can email me at angushutchsky[at]gmail[dot]com if you are interested. :-)

If you get stuck, I'd be happy to help you figure out the bits of code you need.

Dreamweaver won't work for you because Blogger uses templates that require their CSS. You can override that, but you need to be willing to dig through code. ...if you're not into code, that may not have made much sense... what I'm saying is: Dreamweaver won't help, but I'd be happy to.

Luke, thank you for offering to help. I know almost nothing about code! If I ever get brave I will keep your offer in mind.

Andrew, thanks for making it work! You saved me from pulling my hair out.
